I just noticed the Memory Usage spiking to 1.9+ gb's towards the end of their run. This puts the 4gb Box's on the edge of locking up when running 2m Wu's. My 4gb laptop was locked up was the reason I discovered the increase in memory usage ...

Yes, the WU are increasing the RAM required. Still no more than 2 GB, but with 4GB its true problems are likely to appear.

I'm switching again to 1 WU per host then.

Yep, I'm down from being able to use 4 hosts to now only being able to use 1. I might be able to squeak by on the quads with 3G, but one wrong move and the GPU's get starved.

Some of the Wu's seem to want to wait for Memory when there is plenty of Memory Available. The only way I can seem to get the Box to run them is to Abort the waiting Wu for a new one & then they seem to run again.

Can you tell me what is the WU number and how much RAM do you have when this problem appears? This should not occur unless your system has effectively not RAM enough to process that specific WU.

Be sure to not have a limitation in the RAM usage in the BOINC preferences (or the project preferences).

May be this. Because there are differences of RAM usage among WU, if you are just in the limit there is a chance for some WU to work and others to not work.

I have over 3gb free when it happens >>> http://falua.cesfelipesegundo.com/Neurona/result.php?resultid=614490 this one was earlier today. Right now I have one waiting for Memory >>> http://falua.cesfelipesegundo.com/Neurona/result.php?resultid=636953

It might have been that I had my Preferences set to use 75% of the Memory when in use because when the Projects 1'st started we were told to lower our Memory usage I think. Anyway I bumped it back up to 99% when in use & Updated the Client & the Wu started back up again ... :)
